6 Cheap Ways To Get Harder Erections Naturally

Nitric oxide is made in our bodies and it helps to dilate our blood vessels, which leads to lower blood pressure as well as better overall cardiovascular health.
If you improve your nitric oxide levels, not only do you improve your endothelial function of your arteries, but this can lead to improved erections in men, which can help them overcome erectile dysfunction, and it can lead to better athletic performance and stamina.
In this article I’m going to show you six ways you can naturally boost the nitric oxide in your body.
1. Exercise

Now any sort of exercise is going to help you, but what’s going to help your nitric oxide levels the most is cardiovascular exercise or zone two exercise. This is exercise where you can still maintain a conversation, but it’s a little bit laboured and difficult for you to do so.
Exercise improves our endothelial function, which is the lining of our arteries that creates nitric oxide.
Exercise also helps to improve our antioxidant activity, which helps to convert nitrite in our body into nitric oxide, and it also slows the breakdown of nitric oxide in our body.
Not only does exercise improve our nitric oxide levels, but it’s great for cardiovascular health and our overall health as well.
2. Eat Food High In Nitrates

This is because our body converts nitrate into nitrite and then into nitric oxide.
When consuming foods high in nitrates, you want to aim to get your nitrates from vegetables, not from processed meat. This is because in processed meats some of the nitrate gets converted into nitrosamine, which is thought to be carcinogenic.
Most people consuming a western diet aren’t getting nearly enough nitrate. They tend to get around 40 to 100 milligrams per day, where I aim for around 300 to 400 milligrams per day.
My absolute favourite food to eat that’s high in nitrate is celery. This is not only because celery is one of the top 10 foods when it comes to nitrate concentration, but it’s also one of the easiest foods to consume in large quantities.
While things like arugula or rocket and spinach have higher nitrate concentrations, it’s a lot harder to eat 100 grams of arugula per day to get your daily intake of nitrate than it is to eat maybe 200 to 300 grams of celery per day.
I love putting peanut butter on my celery and it makes a delicious snack.
If celery isn’t for you, then a lot of leafy greens contain high amounts of nitrates. You can go ahead and check out the video that I did that shows the top foods that are high in nitrate.
Beets are also a good source of nitrate, and one of the easiest ways to get your daily intake of nitrate is through beet juice.
3. Take L-Arginine Or L-Citrulline Supplements

So our body can convert the nitrate in our foods into nitric oxide in our body, but there’s actually another pathway as well where our body creates nitric oxide, and that’s through the L-arginine pathway.
So by taking L-arginine or L-citrulline supplements you can help to boost nitric oxide production through this pathway.
It’s actually thought that supplementing with L-citrulline can lead to higher levels of L-arginine and nitric oxide when compared to just supplementing with L-arginine alone. There was a study in rats that showed that supplementing with L-citrulline led to higher penile levels of nitric oxide in the rats.
You can get L-citrulline from foods like watermelon, but I personally like to supplement with L-citrulline, and I’ve noticed since taking L-citrulline a massive difference in the hardness and firmness of my erections.
I also take a variety of other supplements that really help to boost my libido and to improve my erections. And if you want to see the full stack that I take, then go to passionately.com/ed.
Over there I share all the supplements that I’m taking for optimal erectile health, and I share the studies behind them and why they work.
4. Take Other Supplements And Antioxidants

Things like vitamin C can help to convert the nitrate in your stomach into nitric oxide, and I also take magnesium and vitamin K2 in order to improve the health of my arteries and to boost nitric oxide production.
5. Avoid Oral Mouthwash

There’s specific bacteria that live in the folds and the crevices of our tongue that help to convert the nitrate in foods into nitrite, which our bodies can then convert into nitric oxide.
And if you’re regularly using mouthwash, then you can actually kill off these really important bacteria, which means you’re not getting as much of that conversion into nitric oxide that you want.
However, interestingly, tongue brushing or tongue scraping hasn’t been shown to have the same effect, and that seems to be fine.
6. Nasal Breathing And Humming

Nitric oxide is actually produced in the paranasal sinuses, and by nose breathing we produce more nitric oxide than that of mouth breathers.
So by nasal breathing we can increase our nitric oxide levels, and interestingly, by nasal humming we can actually produce 15 times more nitric oxide in our nasal passages compared to just nasal breathing.
So this is when we hum on the out breath, like “hmm”, and interestingly there was a case study where a man used nasal humming to get rid of chronic rhinosinusitis. This is because nitric oxide is known to be antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial.
So those people practising yoga with their “om” are actually doing this nasal humming and boosting their nitric oxide levels.
